Recognizing Quality Care
Four years ago, we opened St. Ann’s Care Center on the campus of St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge.
Our goal was to complete the “continuum of care” available at Cherry Ridge. The opening of St. Ann’s Care Center added long-term skilled nursing to the care options already available to residents (the others being independent living, assisted living, and memory care), and the flexibility to move from one level to another based on need—all at one location. And all with the high standard of quality that St. Ann’s Community is known for.
Last month, St. Ann’s Care Center was recognized as one of the top-performing skilled nursing facilities in New York State by the Department of Health. That’s based on achievement in three categories: Quality, Compliance, and Efficiency. It is one of only 33 skilled nursing providers in the state—and only three in Rochester—to achieve that ranking.
St. Ann’s Care Center is beautiful and state-of-the-art, with 72 private rooms for long-term care. Our person-centered care approach means that our residents’ desires and preferences are the priority. For example, if someone likes to have breakfast at 10:00 instead of 8:00, that’s when they have it. Our residents live life their way.
By doing right by those we serve, by embracing the individuality of each person, we build a family environment.
It is a testament to the skill, dedication, and compassion of our staff that St. Ann’s Care Center is recognized as one of the best in the state. We are proud of our entire team for this accomplishment and what it means for those we are privileged to serve.
