New Dining Venue Unveiled at St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge in Webster.
Residents spoke, and St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge listened.
The result is a new bistro serving hot breakfasts in the same building as Cherry Ridge’s independent living apartments. Located in newly renovated space, the bistro was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in January.
“Our residents asked for additional dining options, and after months of planning, we are very pleased to make that available to them,” said Rene Barnes, Executive Director of St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge.
Apartment residents can now get hot breakfast items as well as continental breakfast at the bistro; previously only continental breakfast was available in their building. The bistro is also open for lunch, an added convenience for apartment residents.
Designed with an open kitchen, the bistro encourages residents to interact with the cooks and watch them in action. The newly remodeled space also allows residents and staff to dine together, adding to the community atmosphere at Cherry Ridge.
Residents took part in the ribbon cutting and shared some comments:
• “It’s very convenient, especially in the winter.”
• “It’s quick and delish!”
• “Love the option of having more than one place to eat.”
• “Lots of good lunches and large portions.”
• “Pizza, yum!!”
