FOOD FIGHT Champion Defends Title in Competition Benefitting Residents of St. Ann’s Community

St. Ann’s Community held its signature fundraising event, FOOD FIGHT – An Epic Culinary Competition, on Friday, September 14th at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

A record-setting, sold-out event, FOOD FIGHT raised nearly $200,000 for Annie’s Angel Fund which supports quality-of-life activities for St. Ann’s Home residents with limited financial means. The Angel Fund makes possible such things as lunch out with friends, tickets to a baseball game, a trip to the hair salon, and other simple pleasures to enrich the lives of St. Ann’s long-term care residents.

FOOD FIGHT featured two of St. Ann’s own executive chefs and two other master chefs competing in a 30-minute cooking challenge to make an entrée from mystery ingredients. Competing were:

  • Daryl Cronk, Executive Chef, St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge in Webster.
  • Todd Klugh, Executive Chef, St. Ann’s Community at Chapel Oaks in Irondequoit.
  • Ellen Adams, a professional chef who competed on Food Network’s CHOPPED
  • Kimberly Roth, returning champion from FOOD FIGHT 2017 and an Executive Sushi Chef who appeared on Season 16 of Fox’s Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.

Chef Roth defended her title and was crowned FOOD FIGHT Champion for a second year. Chef Klugh was crowned the first annual ‘People’s Choice Award’ winner.

St. Ann’s Community thanks its corporate sponsors for their support, including Alesco Advisors LLC, Burke Group, Glenn-Douglas Constructors LLC, GMR Associates, Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, LECESSE Construction, SWBR Architects, and Antithesis Advertising.
